When you have a very severe toothache it's often impossible to go about your daily tasks or even sleep at night. Toothaches can fall into several categories, all of which can cause more than a little annoyance:

  • Continual toothache that doesn't abate or change in intensity.
  • Intermittent toothache that comes and goes.
  • Sensitivity toothache that only occurs when you put something in your mouth that is too  hot, cold or sweet.
  • Worsening toothache that increases in pain and intensity over time.
No matter which type of toothache you're experiencing, you'll want to stop or dull the pain as much as possible. This site has a great collection of tips for natural tooth ache relief.

Warning:

None of these recommendations are to be taken as medical advice or are to be used in place of professional medical advice. These are only recommendations to relieve toothache if you're unable to see a dentist and need immediate relief. We advise that you see a dentist as soon as possible.

  1. There are lots of remedies for toothaches like hot pepper powder and salt. Just mix them together then rub it on the area where you feel the ache. This helps numb the pain. But not all remedies suit your needs so you should ask your dentist before using one.

  2. You're right, Edmund. Some remedies can worsen a person's condition. So, it's better to undergo some check-ups and seek for better advice from professionals. They might give you better natural remedies in doing so.
